Tintin in Vietnam

Project in collaboration with Emma Perrochon, Nguyen Thi Huê & Jean-Sébastien Grill.

Even if tourists in Hanoi can buy lacquers on which we can read "Tintin in Vietnam", and see the belgian hero and his faithful dog traveling by cyclo, we know that such a comic book had never existed. The project consisted in a series of works made with vietnamese traditional skills, and a collection of curious objects found in hanoian streets, chosen for their sculptural and pictorial qualities.

This project was shown for "Cosmotopia", an exhibition curated by Donatella Bernardi at Le Commun (a part of her festival called "Eternal Tour"), in the building for contemporary arts of Geneva.
For this occasion, Emma Perrochon and Frédéric Sanchez also took part in a gigantic collective wall painting entitled "Chapelle Palimpseste" and hold a stand as a finissage at Plainpalais.
